I’ve always loved Michaels. In the past I have gone for DIY accessories, and all my baking needs. And more recently, I’ve been going for all my framing needs. However, just a few weeks ago, the corner of my eye caught a glimpse of some of their home decor stuff.
I was literally carrying two large heavy frames, about to walk out the door, and turned back just to walk down the aisle of Home Decor.
Guys, they have really cute stuff. Especially if you like farmhouse style Decor. BUT, I was a little bummed how expensive everything was. I’m so used to the great deals I get at HomeGoods, and I was not loving the prices. However, I’ve learned that they ALWAYS have a sale, and you can ALWAYS use a coupon. So if you’re not into paying full price for anything, and love Michaels, please read on.
After most purchases in the store, you almost always get a coupon. Save those, you can use them for the next purchase. Sometimes they’re lame, sometimes they’re really good ones like 40% or 50% coupons.
2. Online purchases are always cheaper
Ok, so this is the big one. Most of the good deals are online, and you will not see them in the store–AND you can combine both. Just the other day I was about to buy a clock in the store that I saw was 40% off.
Because I had been checking the website so often, I knew they had a 20% off sale (including sale items) that wasn’t available in the store. So what did I do? I literally bought it from my phone and did In Store Pickup. If I purchased it in the store, it would have only been 40% off (gasp). Moral of the story? Check the website for all the good discounts. That wall clock is still listed online for $80 (I got it for $32), you can check it out here.
3. Email alerts
If you don’t want to check the website everyday, sign up for email alerts for all the good discounts. This is how I got my frames for so cheap, I did their buy one get the other 50% off sale.
4. Price match
Many of you may not know this, but Michael’s also offers a price match guarantee. If you find the same thing at another retailer for cheaper, they will match it.
5. Everyday Value
They have stuff that’s always cheap and never goes on sale. This is kind of like that section at Target when you first walk in. You know what I’m talking about? That super cheap section where everything is around a buck each? I got a 12-pack of 16 ounce mason jars the other day for only $9. Check out their website, they have a ton of stuff for just a dollar each too.
6. Bulk packs
Ok, this is not something I have utilized, but I did notice they have. So if you buy stuff in bulk, I see they have stuff for 50%. I don’t have a ton of stuff I buy in bulk, but if you are into crafts or are a big DIYer, that’s probably something you should check out.
Alright guys, I wish I could’ve copy and pasted every single thing I loved on their website, but there were too many. All the pictures (except the two in home pictures) were taken from their website so check them out here. And, no, I did not get paid to promote Michaels or any of the items here.
P.S. Don’t forget to sign up for email alerts. All the cool kids are doing it. Scroll. All. The. Way. Down.
