6 Runner Rugs Under $100

So I’ve been admiring kitchen runner rugs on Instagram for months now.  And I’m just like, damnit I want one.  I have a long kitchen, and a runner rug would be perfect.  My house is mostly neutral colors, but I have to say I’ve been loving the bold colored rugs I’ve seen and kinda want that pop of color.  I’ve been on the search for one, and well, that means I’ve created a short list.   Below are 6 of my top picks under $100.

Also, I don’t know about you, but I base most of my purchases off of reviews.  Especially when it’s a TON of reviews that are good.  As opposed to like 3 people that may have given it a glowing review.  Therefore, I’ve included that info below too.

1. Darchelle Beige/Pink Rug

Alrighty, if you’re in the market for a rug, I hope that was helpful.  And if you just like looking at rugs in your free time, that’s cool too, I’m not judging you.

Deema

6 Reasons To Buy Faux Flowers

I love having flowers in my home, but I don’t exactly have an endless cash flow to replace those suckers every week.  Look, I know there is nothing like fresh flowers.  And I think it’s great that your friend Casey has fresh Peonies delivered to her home every Wednesday.  But I’m on a budget, and I like to spend my extra money on trips to HomeGoods, or something that lasts longer than 3 days. 7 Reasons You Need A Letter Board In Your Life.

Have you seen those letter boards all over the internet?  If you haven’t, you are seriously missing out.  They have brought such joy to my life, almost more than my own children.  After obsessing over them for weeks, I finally bought one.  And I can assure you, I did not regret it.

IMG_4888

You want one?  I got mine at Amazon.  However, you can get them at Target or anywhere else you probably already shop anyway.  They come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, and colors.  I got mine HERE, and it came with the board, 620 letters/numbers/symbols (lower and upper case), two letter bags, AND a lifetime warranty.  Not sure if you want one?  Let me convince you…

1.  Cost

They definitely don’t break the bank.  They start at $12.99, and I got the large one for $30.  There’s actually a larger one at Khol’s for $24.99.  However, the one from Amazon has 4 times as many letters/numbers/symbols included, and that’s important.  They also come with these little bags to store all those pieces in..

2.  Reusable

IMG_4763

It’s really the gift that keeps on giving.  I just got mine 10 days ago and I’ve already changed the quote roughly 1,567 times.

3.  Easy

OMG, you have no idea.  Again, I’m reviewing the one I bought on Amazon.  It is incredibly easy to put the letters on and off.  They’re basically letters with something poking out the back like this..

IMG_4885

And you simply insert them into one of the lines on the board in half a second.  They go in and out super quick.

4.  Eye Candy

IMG_4881

No matter where you end up putting your sign, it really lightens up a room.  And depending on the quote, it’s really the central focus of a room.

5.  Totally versatile

IMG_4886

On the note of it lighting up a room, you can really move this from room to room, and from the wall  (yes it has a hook on the back), to a table, a shelf, a chair…etc.  You can use it for a grocery list, a menu, a to do list for the week, in your office…etc

6.  Great prop for pictures

IMG_4883

I’m already thinking of the different ways I can use this sign for guests, parties, and special occasions.  This really highlights a picture.  Look how it really lifts up my cheek bones, knocks years off my age, and makes me look super skinny.  It’s like magic.

7.  Drives Creativity

IMG_4850

Look, a ton of people use them for inspirational quotes, and I really love those.  However, sarcasm is more my style, and this board really gets me excited to share some of that dry humor.  And creativity is good for the brain, and since helping your brain is good, I’m convinced this letter board will make you live longer.  And well, that’s enough of a reason to buy one in my opinion.

Alright guys, go out and buy one.  I promise you won’t regret it.   And no, I did not get paid to review these.

Love,
Deema

Guest Bathroom Decor Ideas + Inspiration. (Or At Least A Good Laugh)

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you really love your guest bathroom?  Like, are you super excited for guests to use it, or are you hoping they have a large bladder?  I don’t know about you, but I’ve gotten a little creative with ours.  Partly because I wanted a cute bathroom, but also because I always like a good laugh.  Continue reading “Guest Bathroom Decor Ideas + Inspiration. A Home Without Trays Is Like A Picture Without A Frame.

You know how when you’re at HomeGoods and you see something you LOVE in someone else’s cart and so you quickly grab it and put it in your cart while the person is in the other aisle but then they walk back and notice it is gone and you’re like “OMG Susan what kind of monster would do that?” and then you walk away slowly like an evil troll?  I did that today.  Don’t even judge me, it was a super cute tray that I had to have.

So, I LOVE trays.  And I know you’re probably thinking those are for eating breakfast in bed, serving guests at parties, or for when you ask your 6-year old to bring you over a glass of wine from the kitchen.  And yes, they are for all those things.  BUT, guys, they are also great for decorating and making things look more organized.  Think of trays like a frame, not for a picture, but for the things in your home you’d like to highlight. I have a feeling you will never look at the stuff in your home the same again.

Ok let me show you what I’m talking about.

1. Tray I stole from Susan

Look at these random objects I bought without the tray.   They don’t even look cute.  They look totally random and messy.

IMG_3853

Now look at them with the tray.  Guys, they are literally the EXACT same set up.  Now they look totally organized, meant for each other, and well, super cute.  You’re judging me a little less for taking this from Susan right now aren’t you?

IMG_3852

2.  Organize books

IMG_3876

Ok so I got this at Target, and I thought it would be perfect for coffee table books.  Except we don’t have a coffee table because my kids like to run around, and well they rule our household.  But look how cute these books look in this tray.

IMG_3857

So instead of a coffee table, we have a side table.  Look at the before and after picture of the books on the shelf before the tray.

IMG_3861

Looks a lot more organized and put together in the picture below, right?

IMG_3863

3.  Trays look GREAT in bathrooms

Again, before the tray they look super random and unorganized.

IMG_3870

With the tray, they look organized and put together.  Just like adding a “frame” to all your stuff.

4.  Your desk needs a tray

After..

IMG_3874

Ok guys, you get the point.  I don’t think you need to see every tray in my house. But I really do hope you buy some trays, because they can be super cheap (all mine pictured were under $15), and they make a world of a difference.  Oh and if any of you spot a nice bar cart tray, send it over.  I’m totally in the market for one.  Now go “frame” your home.

Deema
