After finishing up my son’s room last month, my daughter’s room reveal was next. If you missed it, after sharing a room for years, they decided they wanted their own rooms. My daughter took the room they used to share, and my son took what used to be the playroom. And while my daughter didn’t have a specific theme like my son’s room (soccer), she definitely had a lot of opinions about what she wanted.

Here’s what their shared room looked like before (below). The beds used to be on the left, and the wall is half painted.

My daughter wanted all white walls, and I ended up moving her bed to this wall (she got a bigger bed and I couldn’t recommend it more!) and removing that gallery wall. It really opened and brightened up the space. And as you can see, we added the cutest crane wallpaper.

Just a reminder that this space used to be all white with no built-in the day we moved in.
I had an old dresser that we ended up building in between the existing closets. I painted it and swapped out the hardware–you can check out that old blog post here. The cabinetry is Greige by Clare Paint, and the walls are Swiss Coffee by Dunn Edwards.
The kid’s used to have these birds up on the ceiling. It always felt incomplete to me, so we ended up removing this wallpaper, and adding the crane wallpaper.

But this time, we filled up the entire vaulted ceiling portion. My daughter has Juvenile Dermatomyositis so she is always wearing hats and I thought these hat stands were the cutest touch! And yes, that is totally a cuckoo clock. Psst..those suitcases are actually storage boxes!

You can see the gallery wall I put together for her below. I ended up framing a piece of her wallpaper to tie in the space. But that red chair really made the space pop, and it is so comfortable.

And that sweet piece above her bed was from a thrift store and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
I just love this split view of both their rooms when I’m walking down the hallway.
